Rachel Afeaki

Rachel Afeaki is a New Zealand-born Tongan.  She was a Director at Affirming Works - a Pacific Mentoring Youth Agency based in Manukau City for the past four years and now works from her own company FaceNorth Promotions, set up  to promote and platform 'excellent, and effective significance' for young people and in particular Pasifika communities.

She sees the need for more 'grassroots' initiatives to 'go to the next level' of capacity excellence - for sustainability and re-investment back into its respective communities. In doing so, this will impact positive change for future generations.

Rachel has a background in strategic business management working both in New Zealand and in the UK (London).  Rachel provides business mentoring to Pacific and Maori businesses and teaches Small Business Management at Te Wananga Aotearoa to potential emerging business entrepreneurs.  

She has an M.Com in Marketing Management from Auckland University and hopes to pursue her PhD in the area of "How Pasifika businesses grow compared to its NZ mainstream counterparts"?.
