Regional Funders Forum
"From crisis to opportunity - Maximising Impact in Challenging Times: Challenges, Opportunities, Strategies"
Philanthropy New Zealand and the Office for the Community and Voluntary Sector co-ordinated a series of eight regional funding forums in June and July 2009. These forums were an opportunity for philanthropists and grantmakers to get together with others in the eight regions for strategising, networking, and inspiration.
Jenny Blagdon facilitated sessions on the present challenges and ways of maximising impact in these times - the Challenges, Opportunities and Strategies. The forums built on past forums including the work US-based Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO) has been doing in their quest to assist philanthropics achieve maximum impact while acknowledging the challenging circumstances of 2009.
