Membership Criteria
Full Membership
All grantmaking trusts, foundations and statutory trustee companies in New Zealand are eligible to apply for membership - as are the Public Trust, the Maori Trustee and any corporation trust or individual whose primary objective is the distribution of funds for philanthropic purposes.
Full members have voting rights and are eligible to take office in the Association.
Full membership is appropriate for grantmaking organisations which distribute $20,000.00 or more each year. Subscriptions are on a graduated scale.
Associate Membership
Associate membership is open to any organisation or individual associated with grant giving charitable trusts and foundations.
Membership is valid for one year from July to June.
Full membership is encouraged whenever this is possible. The maximum possible pool of funds is needed to help with obtaining that research data now necessary to give all members the greatest possible benefits in future government negotiations.
NZAPT is registered under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957.
